Hollywood: “Tanks,” but no “Tanks”

Hollywood: “Tanks,” but no “Tanks”

A funny thing has happened to a bunch of Hollywood lefties determined to ratchet up anti-war, anti-military, anti-Bush and anti-American sentiment. Their movies are getting creamed at the box office.

“Rendition,” “In the Valley of Elah,” and “The Kingdom” have already bombed. And I’ll bet the rent money Robert Reford’s “Lion for Lambs” and Brian De Palma’s “Redeacted” won’t fare much better.

None of these films could be remotely referred to as “vanity projects,” which are movies where actors work for well below their usual fees, and bottom line is less significant–for “art’s sake.” No siree. These are big-buck productions from people who thought there were big-buck profits to be made by bashing those who make it safe for bashing to occur.

No group of people epitomize the word “ingrate” more than rich, gutless Hollywood lefties. And make no mistake: it takes no guts to belittle the patriots and heros who put their lives on the line 24/7, keeping all of us from experiencing the REALITIES of Islamo-fascism firsthand.
